Statement: About this photograph: I had given two titles to this photograph: one descriptive (the bark of a birch tree) and the other abstract (the eagle’s map), but the real explanation of its theme is the richness of textures and the suggestiveness of ideas that can be found on the bark of a tree. *All of the prints in the series THE ELEMENTS were made by the photographer himself in his laboratory, on Chlorobromide, Silver Gelatin protected by immersion in Selenium.
