STATEMENT

In May 2007, I spent 4 days in Venice/Italy. I had some memories of the city in my head from a vacation when I was a little child. To be honest with you, I was a little shocked about the masses of tourists in this place. It reminded me somehow of a big amusement park. I guess I have to go back there someday, maybe in November, when the city is more silent. The pictures I will show here were taken with the Horizon 202, the Russian spin-lens camera (pure mechanic) using 35/135 mm in Venice and in Burano, the nearby island with its coloured houses. I decided to work a little on the colours after I scanned the negatives to bring back some of the good old memories.
